01Who is responsible and what this policy covers
Abreu Smart Transportation (Abreu Smart) is responsible for the customer and trip information it uses to provide private transportation in the Dominican Republic through abreusmart.com and its customer, driver and administrative portals. Contact us at transporte@abreusmart.com or +1 (829) 919-3386.
This policy explains the information we receive, why we use it, who receives it and how to exercise your choices. It covers reservations, customer accounts, beneficiaries and optional website analytics.
02Information we receive
We receive information you enter in forms, provide to our operations team or authorize an identity provider to share. Our team may add or update customer records to coordinate a service.
- Contact and account information: name, email, phone number with country code, account identifiers and optional profile photo.
- Trip information: pickup, destination, stops, dates, times, passenger and luggage quantities, flight number when provided, service status and communications about the trip.
- Saved addresses, service preferences, beneficiary details and, when enabled, business name, tax identification and request for a fiscal invoice.
- Payment administration: quoted amounts, currency, payment method, recorded payments, refunds, tips and supporting records. The reservation form does not ask for a card security code or full card details.
- Trip activity and feedback: acceptance, arrival, start and finish timestamps, rating scores and comments.
- Technical information used by authentication, hosting and security providers, including connection and access logs. Optional analytics is described separately below.
03Signing in with Google
Google sign-in is optional. When you choose it, Google authenticates you and may share your name, email address, basic profile information including a photo URL, a provider identifier and email verification information with our authentication service. We use this information to create or access your account, recognize your identity and connect eligible existing customer records to your verified email.
We request basic sign-in permissions (openid, email and profile). This integration does not request access to Gmail messages, contacts, Drive documents or your Google password. A phone number may still be requested separately to coordinate your transfer.
Authentication is managed through Supabase. Session credentials are retained in your browser to keep you signed in. You can sign out from your account and remove the connection from your Google Account settings. Removing the Google connection does not, by itself, delete existing customer, trip or payment records; request deletion separately using the contact below.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for personalized advertising or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence models. Access and use are limited to the account and transportation features described here.
04Why we use information
We use the information necessary to respond to requests, quote and confirm services, coordinate drivers and vehicles, communicate trip changes, maintain customer records, administer payments and invoices, handle feedback and resolve service issues.
We also use necessary information to protect accounts, investigate misuse, comply with applicable obligations and preserve records needed for legitimate claims. Optional preferences and analytics are used according to the choices you make. We will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent when required for a new purpose.
06Beneficiaries and information provided by others
When you register another person as a beneficiary, provide accurate contact details, inform them of this policy and make sure you are authorized to provide their information. A beneficiary can request correction or deletion and can later create their own account.
Beneficiary and historical reservation records may remain associated with the requesting account to document who requested the service. Updating saved details does not automatically rewrite the historical details of past trips.
07Browser storage and optional analytics
Essential browser storage supports sign-in, session renewal and preservation of a reservation draft. Optional statistics remain off until you allow them through the analytics privacy control. Declining statistics does not prevent booking or account access.
If allowed, first-party analytics uses random browser and visit identifiers to estimate visits, approximate country, referring domain or tagged campaign, device category, entry language, viewed public sections, WhatsApp clicks and progress through the booking and registration screens. We count successful reservations and new verified accounts for attribution. We do not record form contents, passwords or contact details in analytics events, and the analytics tables do not store raw IP addresses. Infrastructure and authentication logs are separate.
A visit is renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity. The browser analytics identifier expires after 365 days; measurement records are subject to cleanup after 400 days. Blocking storage, changing browser, privacy tools and network errors can affect estimates.
Use “Analytics privacy” at the bottom of the website or this page to change your choice. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals override acceptance. Disabling statistics stops new optional measurement and removes its browser identifiers; it does not automatically remove historical measurement records.
08Retention and security
We retain account and operational information while needed to provide the service and manage your relationship with us. Afterward, we retain only information needed for accounting, tax obligations, security or legitimate claims, subject to applicable requirements. Deleting a saved address or beneficiary does not delete past reservations or financial records.
We use authenticated access, role-based permissions and protected connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Passwords for email-based accounts are managed by the authentication provider and are not included in booking or analytics forms.
09Access, correction and deletion requests
You can update available profile, address, business and preference fields from your account. To request access, correction, account deletion, cancellation or objection to processing where applicable, email transporte@abreusmart.com with the subject “Privacy request”. Tell us what you need and how to contact you; do not send passwords or full card details.
We may verify your identity and your authority to act for someone else. We will handle requests under applicable law and explain any information that must be retained or any limitation affecting the request. We do not require access to your Google password to process a request.
10External services and minors
Google sign-in, WhatsApp, social networks, maps and payment links lead to services with their own privacy terms. We do not control their independent processing.
The account and reservation-management features are intended for people with legal capacity to use them. An adult responsible for a minor’s travel should provide only the information needed to coordinate the service.
11Updates and contact
We publish policy updates on this page with their date. Material changes affecting the use of Google information or other personal data will be communicated appropriately before applying a new purpose, with consent where required.
